Heather’s roots in the marketing industry originate in the nonprofit public relations and communications sectors, including six years as the Communications Director for the Greater Washington Region of the American Heart Association. She subsequently joined the marketing team of a large academic medical center in Washington, DC where she led the hospital’s proactive and reactive media relations, developed the hospital’s crisis communications plan, and managed marketing strategy for several service lines including cardiovascular, orthopedics and oncology in a very competitive healthcare market. She was also the project manager for the hospital’s internal newsletter and quarterly magazine, and collaborated on several award-winning television and radio advertising campaigns.

“Every client has a story to tell but sometimes they bury the lead. It excites me to help a client find their voice and showcase their strengths.”

A graduate of the University of Maryland Philip Merrill School of Journalism, Heather had a concentration in Broadcast News with a minor in Health. A mother of two, Heather and her family left her lifelong home of the Mid-Atlantic for tacos and BBQ in Austin, Texas in 2012.
